Tom Ferguson
The original "Knob", the birthday boy whose nickname gives the competition it's name. Swings like Zorro, folds under pressure like a $3 deck chair.
Malcolm Ferguson
The "Knobfather". Big swing, big drives. Plays with lady balls.
Winner: 2018
Ian Dale
Uncle Buck. Loves a bet. Swings it like he's playing cricket with a baseball bat. Always comes back in with more balls than he started with.
Winner: 2012
Liam Hill
Masses of potential, however is the living embodiment of the term "Drive for show, putt for doe!" He is also commonly known as the Paul Casey of the Knob Cup; folds under the pressure of a big event!
Amy Smith
The first lady 'Knob'. Only took up the game to go on corporate jollies. She's become deadly since she learned how to putt.
Winner: 2016
Tom Booth
'Booney'. Has all four requisite parts of the game (Driving, Irons, Short Game and Putting) in his locker, invariably forgets one or two of them each time he goes out. Often spotted on the course covered head to toe in factor 72 sun screen.
Philip Goode
'Goodey'. Despite starting his golf adventure at the same time as Liam and Booney, he's become the all-time leading 'Knobber'. We mainly attribute this to the fact he played hockey, no not ice hockey, the one with pleated skirts and knee socks.
Winner: 2013, 2014, 2015
Oli Dale
The "er" in the duo of "Wank-er" (with Tom Ferguson). Incredibly talented but prone to occasional bouts of what could charitably be called, "The Hump".
Neil Guard
Another expatriate drafted to bring the Knob Cup to the antipodes. Rabid fanaticism for Manchester United. God forbid he ever wins this thing, we'll never hear the end of it.
John Staunton
The freshly minted father-in-law of the Knob, already eyeing up early retirement as a plan for Knob Cup glory.
Winner: 2017
Sean Hill
Has found the game later in life and still hopes to make it on the Legends Tour. As a part time worker, has far too much time to practice, otherwise known as cheating.
Nick Moss
Another recent convert who seems to have ignored all the pain that he's seen the rest of us go through. Will invariably be the most stylish person on the course.
Brian Hill
The first player to join from the Americas. A rabid golf fan despite living in the nearly arctic Canadian state of Newfoundland.
Tony Lloyd
Past Knobbers
Chris COX
Here to prove that attributes such as ‘youth’ and driving distance are no match for an ‘experience’ and being a retiree; in the search for Knob Cup glory.
